Para-Equestrian Support Services

P1000201.jpg

Sara is always delighted when her business is able to support disability inclusion at all levels, in addition to her voluntary activities with RDA. Riders and RDA groups are most welcome and the following services may be of interest:

  • Rider coaching with own horse

  • Competition preparation (RDA, BD para and mainstream)

  • Top-up schooling and fitness work for RDA horses (new or established) at a discounted fixed price of £140/week (minimum 8 weeks)

  • Assistance and support when evaluating horses for potential RDA use

  • Supporting rider/horse combinations in new or challenging circumstances: this service has proved both popular and successful with Sara's ASD and visually-impaired clients

Thanks to the generosity of a number of horse/pony owners (and subject to careful assessment and supervision) Sara has developed a small pool of competition horses and ponies, who - subject to ongoing assessment of rider suitability and the variables of the horse owners' wishes, and the horses' other workload at the time - may be available to North Wales RDA group riders seeking to compete at RDA regional and national competitions.

This is the first such pool in the region, and we hope to expand it further. If you have a horse or pony you believe may be suitable to be ridden occasionally by carefully-matched RDA rider (who would be personally coached and supervised by Sara at all times), please get in touch.

Accessibiity Statement

  • Sara works from her very small, off-grid private yard (or can travel to you by negotiation).

  • Parking is on the grass & chippings approach lane - visiting trailers and lorries turn around in the arena to make exit nice and easy!

  • Extra large, high, and wide mounting block, but no hoist supplied at this location

  • Extra-large dressage arena letters (black on yellow) for optimal visibility

  • Please note we have no toilet facilities

  • COVID precautions and social distancing are now in place (website photos pre-date the pandemic) - a risk-assessment is made for each individual rider to determine if we can safely accommodate their physical and assistance needs.
